Update from Karen Hill – Flamstead Village Runner for London Marathon Charity place:

Well where do I start…….Throughout October training was going well and I
managed my first 10k and gained a very respectable time, even I was surprised! Since then I have
participated in the herts 10k and regular park runs too to mix it up a little. Gordon Cameron and
Redbourn physio have been my saving grace, helping sort out all my aches and pains and
reassuring me I can still run!

As many of you know I’ve recently suffered the heart break of losing my precious ruby dog whilst
out running, which as you can imagine has been a horrendous ordeal for the whole family. She
was my running partner and I’ll be honest since losing her, I have felt like throwing in the towel and
training suffered. But I can promise you all I am back and I can’t thank everyone enough for their
support, it’s been overwhelming and given me the strength and support to carry on. Not only am I
running for the Wish Tree Charity but I’m running for Ruby.

Please follow my Just giving page for updates on the running and a chance to donate to such a
good cause. You can click HERE

All monies raised will go to The Wish Tree Charity

Many thanks for all your on-going support of the Charity.
